A key development during Outside In 2009 was the establishment of Step Up.
Step Up recruited five marginalised artists to take part in research with Pallant House Gallery staff into outsider and outside influenced artists in the Gallery’s collections.
They were also trained in how to facilitate workshops.
Four workshop packs were produced focussing on the lives and techniques of; Scottie Wilson, Alfred Wallis, Patricia Douthwaite and Paul Klee.
