A Little bit about the artist

I am currently studying a degree in Visual Arts by Negotiated Study at Birmingham City University. Most of my art work communicates my daily struggles with living with Aspergers and all the anxiety which goes along side the condition. I struggle to communicate on a social level with people so I use my skills in art to have my say and communicate the way I see the world. Since getting a diagnosis of autistic spectrum disorder I have been on a mission to work through all the emotions that come with a diagnosis, suddenly everything starts to make sense. Having a diagnosis answered lots of questions, but it also raises a lot of questions. I want to express how I feel about having a developmental disorder by creating art work which shows the difficulties I have; but how I can overcome them through the power of art.
