What is Gold Run?

Glyndebourne, Pallant House Gallery and Carousel are working together to support the creation, development and performance of an ambitious multi-media performance piece, incorporating film, music and visual art, inspired by the re-introduction of learning disabled athletes competing in the Paralympics.

Led by an experienced creative team, with support from the three organisations, we aim to create a piece of exceptional quality which will showcase the work of learning-disabled and marginalised artists, whilst also providing opportunities for young learning disabled people to participate in high quality arts activity.

Where will it be performed and exhibited?

The final piece will be performed live in three prestigious venues in the South East, including Glyndebourne, Chichester Festival Theatre and Brighton Dome in 2012.

Following the live performances the work will be transformed into a digital installation, which will be exhibited throughout the Olympics in a Dilston Grove, Southwark Park, just outside the Olympic Village, before touring as part of Pallant House Gallery’s Outside In initiative.
