Drawing Insight

Insight partnership 2017 Exhibition

Exhibition at Regency Town House, Brighton 16 - 24 September 2017.

The Insight Partnership was a collaborative project delivered by Outside In and University of Chichester. The project brought together an Outside In artist and two recent graduates of the MA Fine Art programme at the University of Chichester.

Yvonne J Foster, a Brighton-based Outside In artist, was selected to work with Deborah Petch, a recent graduate of the MA Fine Art programme at the University of Chichester. The pair were supported by Rachel Redfern, also a recent Fine Art graduate, who took the role of Project Facilitator.

Working collaboratively over three months, the artists shared their practice and experienced each other’s way of working. Together and separately, Deborah and Yvonne created new and insightful artworks whilst maintaining a dialogue about their artistic practice and the art world more generally.

The collaboration resulted in Drawing Insight, a free exhibition in the Studio at Pallant House Gallery which ran from 1 to 26 March 2017.

The three artists will be reuniting to present Drawing Insight at The Regency Townhouse in Brighton 16 - 24 September 2017.

Filmmaker Rosie Powell captured the partnership as it developed and her short film was included as part of the original exhibition. Watch the video below:
