My name is Suzie McCormack. I create art and I write. I am self taught. I create art in many media including ceramic sculpture, drawings, paintings, mixed media works, collage and video. I am influenced greatly by folk art, primitive art and children’s art and am inspired by nature and natural phenomena such as dreams. I admire the work of Paul Klee, Max Ernst and Marc Chagall and feel a strong kinship with artists that come under the Art Brut label.

Wielen Dank Thomas Riesner. Du bist so nett!

Andrew Travers I am very glad you like the works. The Huddle is one of my own favourites. I am flattered that Rude Awakening reminded you a Gauguin painting. I am going to look it up now. Thank you very much for your comments and for taking the time to browse the works.

Vibrant works. All of them good. Especially liked The Huddle, but difficult to read the words on my screen. Hope to see this for real when I visit the Bristol Museum exhibition (in the near future if I can). Powerful atmosphere in Rude Awakening, for no reason at all (which means I don't the reason) it reminded me of that Gauguin painting of the Tahitian girl being frightened awake by a struck match.
