Miniature artworks, scribblings, collage and tiny boxes

I hand-make miniature works of art, tiny books and boxes. I use art to process thoughts and emotions; I disappear into what I'm doing and get caught up in the details. Being creative is essential to life. It has become a way to manage living with my mental health issues. I started making images during a breakdown. From that work I created my book ‘Inside' - a direct and unapologetic visual account of my experiences, thoughts and emotions. Since then I have found my niche, I am happiest when working on tiny things.

Thank you for your comments. It might be useful for me to add that my artwork a way for me to relieve what goes on in my head. It is a form of communicating what might be happening during a fleeting moments or through certain periods of time. It's not always how I feel and it's not wholely who I am.

Note: The mind is a superb instrument if used rightly. Used wrongly, however, it becomes very destructive. To put it more accurately, it is not so much that you use your mind wrongly - you usually don't use it at all. It uses you. This is the disease. You believe that you are your mind. This is the delusion. The instrument has taken you over.
