What inspires me

I was born in Venice, Italy. I left Italy with my husband to travel widely in Africa before settling in London. Inspiration for my work is taken from nature, the natural coil that makes up all organic matter, but it is also the result of an accumulation of influences that have inspired me in their cultural diversity. This includes my own emotional responses to the changing scenarios of my life - from the family home, through the artistic and theatrical influences that I so greatly admired in Africa and finally to the multi-cultural environment that is London. My large body of work is the result of many years' work . I am self-taught. However, I have found it difficult to present my work in a public sphere mainly because I feel that I do not have the language or the know how in approaching galleries or individuals.

Your work shows the beauty and strength of the human body. The animal "Fallen Horse" is also a powerful piece of art.

The material quality of your figures is beautiful. The understanding you have of the humam form is expressed very clearly in you art work.
