Ben Wilson has been creating miniature paintings on chewing gum for six years now. Using special acrylic he paints colourful designs onto the gum, working spontaneously and also taking requests from the public. Based in London Ben is creating a trail of his chewing gum paintings from Barnet in North London right to the centre of the City. Prior to this Ben created large scale wooden sculptures, always working outside in a direct way with his environment.
This BBC news item follows Ben for a day to see how he makes these miniature pieces of art. www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-11677462

Your chewing gum paintings look like badges or crushed bottle-caps that must really appeal to London's youth population. It is humourous work and has a contemporary"street art" type vibe to it.
