I am Joan Viola Nash the Artist. I am 56 years of age and have two sons. Unfortunately, I have got quite bad primary progressive multiple sclerosis. However, since I acquired MS I have become quite a successful artist thus I am placing these watercolours on this website for sale in order to raise money for my charity i-need-air, that is oxygen for people with chronic illness, which I have already raised two fifths of the money for - some via my paintings. I am looking at this as an opportunity to grow spiritually through my art and through my art I would like to bring an awareness to the fact that disability does not mean the end and positive things can happen. Before I got MS I was a different woman. I was a very successful journalist and enjoyed a good life style living in a comfortable bubble. Only seeing what I wanted to see. MS changed all that I now open my eyes to a new world, experience conversations with new people that once would not have been in my circle of friends. I have unfolded like a rose to the world around me and look for the positive in life in a way I never used to. Life can have its days of trials and tribulations but every day I set myself goals and ensure that they are achieved. Art is a wonderful way to connect with the world around you. No one should ever give up.
