The Process

abstract textural artworks

My works come in a series of 3. My larges pieces are created on either board or canvas and make use of mixed-media materials ranging from textile fragments to glass fragments, wax and metal foil. The works may resemble planetary scapes and more recently I have been working on cityscapes, exploring the theme of demolition. My pieces reflect light through the glass, orthrough the gold and luminescent paint I use to bring out relief on the textures used. My second series of works consists of A4-size collage pieces, where I work into paper painted over, using various bastardised marbling techniques. I also like to draw on paper withpren and ink and also using colour pencils, to create designs of fractal-style movement and colour.

In your show of works the pieces have very strong and varied surface textures . They are very different to look at and have unusual materials. You have a unique style which makes your exhibition interesting to study.
